Why see Ali Siddiq?

Sit Down With Siddiq

Catch stand-up comedian and public speaker Ali Siddiq on his 'I Got A Story To Tell' tour this year, bringing his hilarious storytelling comedy style on the road across the country! First coming to prominence in 2008 with his appearance on Def Comedy Jam on HBO, his gripping tales have audiences everywhere hanging on every word whilst in stitches at his hilarious takes and anecdotes.

The experiences Siddiq recounts often come from real life personal experience of life behind bars, having spent six years in prison in the 1990s. It was here that he found his talent as a stand-up, with his jokes and stories captivating fellow inmates and awakening his abilities as a comic. The story he later told as part of a stand-up routine of a prison riot during this time went viral on YouTube, hitting over 15 million views and cementing his reputation as a comic genius.

Ali Siddiq, a Star from Houston - TX

Ali Siddiq has a cult following in Houston and is starting to gain country-wide traction on large comedy podcasts and with his latest specials on YouTube. When I was in college in Houston, my treat was to join Ali Siddiq at his Tuesday night showcase at the Houston Improv. There were a few comedians to open and middle. Oftentimes I was still in the audience at 1 am listening to Ali after 2.5 hours. Those were the best shows. I have since moved up to Cincinnati and cannot wait to see him here. The way he tells stories and gives his humble perspective on life is therapeutic in a way. If you just sit and listen you walk away better for it. If you want to watch a comedy show where the comedian takes heavy punches at political topics to try and sway the audience one way or another, this isn't the show for you. If you want a humble dude with great stories and perspectives that are hard to encounter in everyday life, come to the show. You will not regret a minute of it. ... Read more
